Miami Springs residential bust nets drugs and cash

A multi-agency raid of the home of a suspected Miami Springs drug trafficker, at 143 Flagler Dr., turned up cash, cocaine and marijuana.

​Miami Springs police and the city of Miami S.W.A.T. team seized 45 grams of cocaine and marijuana, worth a total value of $5,800, and arrested ​two men, Miami Springs Police Chief Armando Guzman said. Police also seized $3,000 in cash.

​William Preston, 49, of Miami Springs, faces charges of cocaine trafficking, possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver, ​cannabis possession of more than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Guzman said.

​​Preston was being held Thursday in Miami-Dade county jail on a $63,500 bond, records show.

​Luis Aguero, 55, of Miami Springs, faces charges of possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Aguero remains jailed on a $6,000 bond.​
