Miami Springs has unveiled its new bike-sharing program. Vice Mayor Maria Mitchell and Councilman Bob Best cruised through the farmers market on the Jan. 6 launch.

To participate in the program, users must download an app to ride the bright orange ‘Spin’ bikes parked about the city for a fee of $1 per 30-minute ride. Miami Springs is promoting its “connectivity” and also invites locals to enjoy the new bike path along Westward Drive, which allows access to the community center, library and downtown.
