Miami Springs announced Thursday that it will hold its Dec. 12 City Council meeting at the Curtiss Mansion, 500 Deer Run Dr.
No explanation was given for the change of venue. City Council meetings are normally held at City Hall, 201 Westward Dr.
The council voted 5-0 on Nov. 14 to approve paying an architectural firm $48,831 to develop a design proposal for a new senior center “adjacent to the Curtiss mansion” on golf course property. The city is also studying the current site at 343 Payne Dr.
