Lost man found at Archdiocese of Miami
An Orlando man missing since Saturday night at Club Space in downtown Miami who had posted a Snapchat video asking for help was found Tuesday morning by Miami Shores police.
According to Miami police, Shores officers found Jeremiah Chavez around 9:20 a.m. hiding behind a wall at 9401 Biscayne Blvd., the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Archdiocese spokeswoman Mary Ross Agosta said after Chavez approached an archdiocese employee showing up for work, the woman called police to get Chavez the help he looked like he needed.
They took him into custody, then paramedics took him to North Shore Hospital.
Chavez's family said he got separated from his friends Saturday night into Sunday morning at Club Space, 34 NE 11th St. in downtown Miami. He called his sister Sunday while at Braman Cadillac — police released a surveillance video still Monday — with a plea for help because he thought he was being chased. He also posted a Snapchat video.
He was reunited with his family Tuesday.
"They took him out there to celebrate his 28th birthday and for some reason my son was drugged because that’s not my son. My son is a hardworking person," his mother told NBC6.
