Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi: Come to State of Town address

I want to invite everyone to attend our State of the Town address to take place Oct. 21 at Miami Lakes Town Hall. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be catered by local Miami Lakes restaurants, with the mayor’s address to follow.

All are invited to mingle with the Town Council staff, distinguished guests and fellow residents. I intend to highlight my priorities for the coming year and touch on our many accomplishments since my last State of the Town address. At that address, I said my priorities included the opening of Northwest 87th Avenue, the new government center, the youth center and the new fire station.

I am happy to announce that while the government center and 87th Avenue are already serving our residents, the fire station is opening in October and the youth center not long after. It is important to note that through adversity, our town has always risen and will thrive stronger than ever under the grace of God.

This year’s state of the town address will also be the kickoff to celebrate our town’s 15th anniversary. And after 15 years, Miami Lakes is still the best place to live, work and play in the United States. Through the leadership of our residents, staff, community leaders and town council, we have and will continue to maintain the quality of life we have all come to expect.
