Miami Gardens police have arrested a third suspect in connection with a fatal robbery in a Miami Gardens park.

Shelton Evans, 25, the third suspect in the case, was arrested Thursday night.

Jean Cenat, 22, had arranged to meet up with a woman in Vista Verde Park, 21001 NW 39th Ave., through social media. Instead he was robbed and fatally shot. His body was found around 6 a.m. Monday by a couple walking in the park, but his car was missing.

Police found Steven Daniels, 23, driving Cenat’s car after Cenat’s family described the missing vehicle. He attempted to drive away from officers and to hit the police vehicle but he eventually got out of the car, ran away on foot and was later arrested.

The woman, Shuneice Thomas, 21, was also arrested and told police that the meeting was a set-up for the robbery.

Thomas and Evans have been charged with second-degree murder and armed robbery. Daniels was charged with resisting an officer, fleeing from an officer and aggravated assault on an officer.

This incident comes about three months after two men were robbed and shot in another Miami Gardens park attempting to complete an online transaction in person. Those victims survived their injuries.
