Five years ago, a Miami Gardens man was able to survive a shooting at his home. But Monday night, police said, a shooting at the same house proved deadly for him while wounding his 12-year-old son.
Police are now looking for a gold Dodge Charger and believe a drive-by shooting led to the death of Spencer Robinson, 35, and injured his son.
Officers responded at about 9:30 p.m. to Robinson’s home, in the 19300 block of Northwest 39th Court. They found Robinson inside his house with several gunshot wounds and his son sitting on the couch with a wound in his right foot. Robinson died from his wounds on the way to the hospital.
No motive has been provided for the shooting but police said Robinson had some gang affiliations when the shooting occurred at his house in 2011.
