Thank you Miami Beach for the Independence Day party!
You provided food, music, transportation, fireworks and fun. You invited all our friends and neighbors.
Yet for all the welcome visitors, no restrooms were apparent. The closest public facilities are North Shore park at 79th Street; the Senior Center at 73rd Street, where the party was (which I have never found unlocked); and 65th Street. Inconvenient for a party, to say the least.
Every week we have hundreds visit the beautiful beach with no relief other than the water or squatting in the sand.
Step up to the plate, Miami Beach! Offer our visitors a complete experience with basic facilities. Our community would prosper, the beach would be more inviting!
