Historian Paul George helped residents and others celebrate the village of Bal Harbour’s 70th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 6, with an historical walking tour on the beach near the Sea View Hotel.
Attendees included Bal Harbour Mayor Martin Packer.
From a poster at the exhibit: “Bal Harbour is one of Miami-Dade County’s most unique communities owing to its careful development plan, a well-managed residential community arising from that blueprint, a world famous shopping mall and ocean front highlighted by some of the area’s most prominent hotels.”
The village incorporated in 1946.
