The body found at a Southwest Miami-Dade intersection has been identified by police as a 33-year-old Homestead man.
Xzavius Edwards’ body was found Wednesday morning at the corner of Southwest 360th Street and 87th Avenue.
South Florida media outlets reported last November on the abduction of Edwards' son, Xzavius Edwards III, by his non-custodial mother from an aunt’s house. Homestead police eventually found the then-3-year-old boy and arrested Clanetha Davis.
A cause of death hasn’t been released. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
