Driver followed a 7-Eleven run with a hit-and-run that injured an elderly man

An hit-and-run driver put a Florida City octogenarian in the hospital early Wednesday.

Miami-Dade police say the driver left the 7-Eleven at 13690 SW 268th St. and headed west on Southwest 268th Street around 5:52 a.m. After hitting 84-year-old Reynaldo Teseda as he crossed a street at the corner on which the 7-Eleven sits, the driver swung north on Southwest 137th Avenue and roared away.

Teseda was taken to Jackson South Hospital in stable condition.

Police describe the driver as a 25- to 30-year-old woman; long black curly hair; 5-2 to 5-4 and about 200 pounds. Her first name might be “Chelsey” and she is thought to be a regular at 7-Eleven.
