A group of four teens walking home from school were struck by an out of control car, critically injuring three of the teens, finally coming to a final stop in a Hialeah home.
The teenagers were on the sidewalk in front of the home on West 1st Avenue and West 9th Street just after 3 p.m. Thursday.
Hialeah Fire spokesperson Luis Espinosa said the single driver struck the two males and two females. Two of the victim’s injuries were so severe they were airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The two other victims were taken by ground transport to the hospital. There is no word yet if the driver was also injured.
