Anybody missing a stolen laptop, especially one from the Miami-Dade County system? How about a stolen tablet? Stolen cellphone? Stolen camera? Stolen television? Swiped power tool? For those who still wear a watch, stolen timepiece?
If you fit into any of the above categories, you might want to swing by Miami-Dade police’s Northside District Station, 799 NW 81st St. Detectives can show you more than 200 stolen electronics and other items seized from World Wireless Mobile, 8290 N. Miami Ave., last Thursday after an investigation into a stolen laptop led them there.
Tuesday, police arrested William Vega, 41, and slapped him with five counts of dealing in stolen property, a felony. There were also several misdemeanor charges involving pawn shop violations, although it wasn’t clear if the store also functioned as a pawn shop.
Vega was on probation stemming from 2009 convictions for felony cocaine possession and fraudulently trying to get title to a car.
Police ask anyone who thinks any of the aforementioned goods were stolen from them to call Miami-Dade police at 305-835-4055.
