Moms of special needs children to be pampered Saturday at Doral’s Morgan Levy Park

The city of Doral will be pampering moms of children with special needs on Saturday at Morgan Levy Park.

Th event is being hosted by the city and the Special Needs Advisory Board. The free event will be held at 5300 NW 102nd Ave. at 10:30 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m.

Four motivational speakers will take the stage and there will be lunch and refreshments. There will also be chair massages, gifts and raffle prizes.

The guest speakers are:

▪ Luz Marina Rosenfeld — A personal trainer who lost her vision three years ago. She will be sharing how she started her foundation, rebuilt her life and became an advocate supporting the challenged.

▪ Myra Goldick — Artist, author, speaker and host of two internet radio shows: Never Say Impossible and Dancing on Our Disabilities. Myra overcame a childhood of racial discrimination, poverty and disability, but now spearheads special-needs causes.

▪ Jane Decker — A graduate of the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University. Decker is the chief building inspector for the city of Doral and founding member of the Red Show Development Group.

▪ Alexis Rivero — Member of the Venezuelan Artistic Association board of directors and professional make-up artist/mask designer for Downtown Miami Carnival, Arts and Parades, Inc.
