In the same week, Doral police caught both an alleged Craigslist thief and an accused bank robber.
Police arrested Alfred James Maddox Jr. on Thursday afternoon, after they say he robbed Total Bank at Northwest 87th Avenue and 25th Street in Doral earlier in the day.
According to police, Maddox entered the bank, handed the teller a note asking for all the money and announced it was a robbery.
Th teller handed over $1,000. from the teller drawer and Maddox ran away. Police visited nearby businesses in search of the thief. When they arrived at Extended Stay America, 8655 NW 21st Terr., hotel staff said a man fitting Maddox’s description checked in and paid with cash.

Maddox was charged with federal bank robbery. In the past he has been convicted of theft, fraud, battery on a law enforcement officer and a sex crime.
On Monday, police arrested a 19-year-old woman for allegedly selling stolen computers on Craigslist.
The investigation began when police stopped a suspicious vehicle in a residential area and the people inside the car snitched on their accomplice, Lisa Haber of Doral.
Haber, along with two others whose names were not released, stole laptops and intended to sell them, police said.
Undercover detectives contacted Haber and arranged to purchase a laptop for $750. They met by a pool at her apartment complex on Northwest 107th Court.
When Haber showed up with the stolen laptop, she was arrested.
Haber later admitted to participating in the burglary of a neighbor's apartment, claiming she was the lookout for a male friend. They broke into the apartment after finding the victim’s spare key under a doormat. Her role was to sell the more than $7,000 of electronics online.
She was charged with residential burglary and grand theft.
