More than 150 Cutler Bay residents attended the third annual Splash in the Bay event Saturday at the Cutler Ridge Pool.
Participants enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing water games, sliding down a waterslide, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and soda. They also danced to the music of resident DJ Ivan.
Mayor Peggy Bell, Town Manager Rafael Casals and town police also attended the event.
“The Cutler Ridge Pool continues to be a place where residents can have fun and enjoy our annual Splash in the Bay event,” Bell said. “With the help of our partners Read Conmigo and Little Swimmers, we were able to give residents a fun and educational way to keep cool during the summer heat. The pool is open all year for our residents, and admission is free for senior residents. We hope to see more residents at our pool, as swimming lessons are offered for residents of all ages to ensure that everyone stays safe while having fun.”
