A precautionary boil water alert was lifted Wednesday afternoon by Miami-Dade Water and Sewer.
After a Sunday night pipe inspection, Miami-Dade issued the alert for an area bordered by Biscayne Boulevard on the west, Northeast 39th Place on the east, Northeast 187th Street on the south; and Northeast 213th Street on the north.
The order ended up shutting down several restaurants, including Pei Wei and Chipotle, which posted a sign that said closed due to a "plumbing problem."
The county had said the alert for boiling water before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice or washing dishes would be lifted after two days of clean water inspections.
