Aventura Mall is included in a precautionary boil water order that will be in place for at least two days.
Those in an area bordered by Biscayne Boulevard on the west, Northeast 39th Place on the east, Northeast 187th Street on the south; and Northeast 213th Street on the north "must now boil their water prior to use for drinking, cooking with, brushing teeth, making ice with or to wash dishes," Miami-Dade Water and Sewer says. "The water should be brought to a full rolling boil for at least one minute."
Water can still be used for showering, however, according to the county. The order stems from a temporary loss of pressure caused by a Sunday night pipe inspection.
After two days of clear water test results, the boil water order will be lifted. Anyone with questions can call 305-274-9272.
