Aventura police say surveillance cameras at Aventura Mall’s JCPenney caught identity thieves posing with one of the Rolex watches they bought using someone else’s credit.

No, you’re not the only one who didn’t know Rolex watches are sold at JCPenney.

Police say the two suspects visited that JCPenney store from January to May. Upon gaining store charge cards in someone else’s name, police say, they purchased two Rolexes. Eventually, their total haul in watches on fraudulent credit reached $200,000, bought mostly in Aventura, but also in Westland and Dadeland Malls, police said.

Anyone recognizing the suspects from the pictures can contact the Aventura Police Department at 305-466-8999 or Crimestoppers Miami at 305-471-TIPS (8477); by text at 274637; or via the website.
