When someone tried to rob him, Kellen Darnell Gaulden turned the tables — and the gun —on the thief.
Miami-Dade police said Gaulden, a 28-year-old Miami man, was robbed at gunpoint on the 6000 block of Northwest 22nd Ave., near Brownsville.
The robber, whom police identified as Devonair Blake, ripped Gaulden’s gold chain off his neck and searched his pockets, police said. Gaulden fought back and the pair struggled.
Gaulden snatched the gun from Blake and chased the would-be thief down, pointing the gun at him as he ran after him for two minutes.

A witness told police she heard Gaulden yell, “Run, run, if I catch you, you’re dead!”
When he caught Blake, police said, Gaulden pistol whipped him to the ground and shot him 13 times in the back.
Police found Blake dead at the scene, arrested Gaulden and charged him with second-degree murder.
