Miami New Year’s Eve clean-up takes all night

The celebrations continued well into the early morning hours in South Florida for 2015 – and so did the clean-up process.

In downtown Miami, a crowd of more than 150,000 watched Pitbull in concert.

Following the big events, clean-up crews were tasked with picking up the trash and debris left behind.

Workers started cleaning up around 1 a.m. and will be finished by Thursday afternoon, officials said.

Large trucks, street-sweepers, rakes, trash cans and trash bags were brought out to help with the process.

As of 6 a.m., 1,500 trash bags had already been used to clean-up the mess and that number was expected to rise.
