Florida City police: Man found dead from gunshot wounds

August 23, 2014 03:37 PM

Police on Saturady reported that they are searching for at least one suspect in the shooting death of a man in Florida City.

The man’s identity was not disclosed, but Florida City police said his body was found at 7:17 a.m. when police arrived at the scene near the 800 block of S.W. 2nd Street after receiving a report of a shooting. They found the man — an adult male — with a gunshot wound. When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived, they were not able to save his life.

Miami-Dade homicide investigators are interviewing witnesses and collecting any potential evidence. They issued an alert to be on the lookout for a black Mercedes that was seen leaving the area early Saturday.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact CrimeStoppers: (305)471-TIPS (8477) or (866) 471-8477. You can also visit www.crimestoppersmiami.com
