A teenager has been fatally shot near his South Miami home.

Police early Monday said they have no information on a suspect and no motive for the shooting in the 6300 block of Southwest 59th Avenue. The shooting happened at 10:43 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

Bobby Gibson Jr., 15, was found shot to death a block from his father's home, Miami Herald news partner CBS4 reported. He tried to make it home but collapsed on the sidewalk.

The neighborhood was on edge after the shooting, with several people clashing with officers on the scene, pushing and throwing objects.
