A man shot while sitting on a Miami bus bench was identified Thursday.
Police identified the victim as Juan Augustine Lorenzo-Gonzalez, 36.
The shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday as Lorenzo-Gonzalez was sitting at the stop near the corner of Northwest 36th Street and 12th Avenue.
A gunman, who was described as being in his early 20s, approached and opened fire. The victim tried to cross Northwest 36th Street but collapsed and died on the street.

The gunman, who fled northbound onto Northwest 15th Avenue, was last seen wearing a white shirt. It’s unclear if the gunman escaped in a vehicle or on foot.
No arrests have been made and the gunman’s motive is still unknown.
