Miami police are asking the public’s help in identifying two suspects accused of abducting a child and sexually assaulted her last week.

Police said the child, who is under 12 years of age, was abducted when she was returning home from school around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, the last day of school in Miami-Dade.

The victim was abducted in the area of Northwest 15th Avenue and 50th Street and was driven to an unknown location, possibly an abandoned home, where she was sexually assaulted, according to Sgt. Freddie Cruz II.

Detectives have described the suspects as a man and woman. The male suspect is tall with a large stomach, spiked hair, and tattoos on his arms. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, khaki shorts and black shoes. Police have released a sketch of the suspect and of the home where the victim said she was taken.
