Police looking for parents of boy found in SW Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade police are seeking help from the public in finding the parents or guardian of a young child found wandering alone in the Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood of Naranja.

Police say the 3-year-old boy was found walking outside an apartment complex in the area of Southwest 137th Avenue and 270th Street at around 7 a.m. Monday.

Police said the boy says he is three years old. He weighs approximately 40 pounds and is two and a half feet tall.

He was found wearing a yellow collared shirt with blue and white stripes, jeans and no shoes.

Miami-Dade police officers canvassed teh neighbohood, but no one seemed to know fo a missing child, who has been placed in DCF custody.
