Commuters on four major expressways and one key surface road in Doral will experience traffic disruptions due to construction this week in Miami-Dade County.
Workers involved in a Northwest 36th Street project will close the exit ramp from westbound State Road 112, the Airport Expressway, for several tasks, including bridgework and the installation of curbs and gutters, through Sunday from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each night.
Meanwhile. the exit ramp to NW 12th Avenue from westbound State Road 836, the Dolphin Expressway, will be closed for installation of electronic toll collection equipment on Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.
On the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, one or two lanes in each direction between Eureka Drive and Southwest 104th Street will be closed nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday. A third lane in either direction may be closed between 11:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. — if needed. Also, one northbound lane on the turnpike will be closed west of the I-75 interchange (Exit 39) from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday as part of a toll express lanes project.
On the Gratigny, one eastbound lane will be closed at State Road 826, the Palmetto Expressway, to relocate temporary barrier walls. The shutdown will take place from Thursday at 10 p.m. toFriday at 5 a.m.
The surface road that will be disrupted is eastbound Northwest 25th Street. Traffic will be shifted between Northwest 89th Court and 84th Avenue toward the north side of the roadway on Thursday morning to allow workers to rebuild the south side of the road and install new drainage and lighting.
