Kendale Lakes and West Kendall were hit with severe flooding on Monday afternoon and some drivers had to wade through 5 inches of water to get home. In some neighborhoods, the flood breached sidewalks and stretched over 100-yards wide.
A flood advisory was in effect in Miami-Dade County on Monday afternoon and most areas were hit with 2 to 3 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service lifted the advisory Monday evening.
The rest of the week will return to normal summertime weather patterns –– until Thursday, when rain storms are expected to last through the weekend.
