Coconut Grove’s one-of-a-kind King Mango Strut — an absurd celebration of the year’s events — didn’t disappoint on the last day of 2016.
Led by grand marshal Luther Campbell (of 2 Live Crew fame), the annual parade lampooned topics new and old including Donald Trump, Fidel Castro, Zika and Gov. Rick Scott.
Also making appearances were the Nasty Women Marching Band, King Tide and a souped-up Mangobus.
It was the 35th anniversary of the popular event, which began as a send-up of the Orange Bowl parade, the King Orange Jamboree.
