An exhibit by photographer Blake Little, “that celebrates and updates the traditional archetypes of masculinity,” is on display through July 4 at Stonewall Museum – Wilton Manors Gallery.

“Blake Little’s twist on these various embodiments of virility comes in the fact that all of the subjects are gay men,” according to the museum website. “Little’s authentic documentation of a new gay masculine subculture continues as he pushes his portraiture in different ways. His visual vocabulary has evolved from the more formal structure of his earlier pictures, taking more chances and benefiting from this freedom.”

Little and Miami Herald LGBT issues reporter Steve Rothaus will discuss the exhibit, “Archetype – Portraits By Blake Little,” 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the gallery, 2157 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors.

Signed copies of the catalog will be available for sale. The event is free and open to the public.
