Santa Claus is coming to South Beach.

The LGBT Visitor Center in Miami Beach is hosting the fifth annual HoliGay Celebration and Toy Drive from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 11 at 1130 Washington Ave. Admission to the event is free with an unwrapped toy, which will go to the Miami Beach Police Department’s Children’s Holiday Relief Fund. The toys will be distributed to kids in need.

Lory Lynch, executive director of the Visitor Center, said the event continues to grow each year.

“Each year, the HoliGay Toy Drive grows and grows like a snowball rolling down a hill,” she said. “So much so, it might just snow during the event.”

Santa is expected to appear at the family-friendly party, which is open to the public and will feature complimentary cocktails by Grey Goose Vodka, Bacardi brands and Barefoot Wine and Bubbly. Centerplate and Crepe Maker will cater a buffet, and DJ Maximus 3000 will be spinning popular hits and holiday music. GAP is also sponsoring the event.

To RSVP, contact Lynch at lori@gogaymiami.com.
