Broward College is hosting a forum on the marriage equality debate, bringing together religious and social conservatives with same-sex marriage proponents.
The Religious Liberty and Same-Sex Marriage Forum will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Broward College’s South Campus, 7200 Pines Blvd., Pembroke Pines.
The forum will feature University of Miami law professor Caroline Mala Corbin; ACLU of Florida Executive Director Howard Simon; Michael Sheedy, executive director of Florida Catholic Conference of Bishops; Miami attorney Richard Milstein, a plaintiff in Florida’s federal gay marriage case; Michael Hurlburt, an assistant philosophy professor at Broward College; and Miami trial attorney Robert Alwine. The event will be moderated by Broward College Associate Dean Henry Mack.
