A 19-year-old died Monday morning from injuries he received when the car he was riding in the night before slammed into a pole in Pembroke Pines, according to police.
Edwin Wilson, who was the passenger of a Dodge Challenger driven by Imran Siddiqui, was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he died.
According to police, Siddiqui was heading east on Sheridan Street just after 10 p.m. Sunday when he lost control and left the road at 11800 Sheridan St.
The car careened into a light pole on the south side of the road, causing extensive damage to the front passenger side, police said.
Siddiqui was not injured.
On Monday, police said the case was under investigation and no charges had been filed.
