Delray man sentenced to 9 months in dog starvation case

A Delray Beach man convicted in July of letting a pet pit bull nearly starve to death was sentenced Thursday to nine months in jail.

Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Karen Miller said that while sentencing Anthony Herring, 38, she recalled how the dog, named Bella, became "skeletal" while in Herring's care.
