The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a man who burglarized a post office in Davie early Wednesday morning.

A man broke into the branch at 3850 South University Dr. at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

A photo of the man — which was taken from surveillance video — shows him wearing a black ski cap covering his face, a blue T-shirt with an illustration of a mask on it and yellow gloves.

Blanca Alvarez, a postal inspector and spokeswoman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, said they are hoping someone will recognize the man in the picture.

It was not clear Wednesday if the burglar left with anything.

“We know he did vandalize the inside of the post office, but we are not sure what was taken,” she said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455.
