An arrest warrant for attempted first-degree murder has been issued for Fort Lauderdale's Dahmad Heath in the shooting of Oran Jackson.

Fort Lauderdale police say Heath rolled up to 2695 NW 22nd St. around 8:50 a.m. Friday and shot Jackson several times. Jackson was treated for his injuries.

Though cops say Heath and Jackson know each other, no motive was given for the shooting. Both rap sheets include a conviction for cocaine possession with intent to sell or deliver.

Court records say the 28-year-old Heath is five-foot-four with a slim build, although a January traffic citation put him at five-foot-seven.
