A horrific crash on I-95 just south of Hallandale Beach Blvd. in Broward County Saturday night has left one dead and forced the closure of all southbound lanes on the busy interstate, according to Mark Wysocky, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson.
The crash, which took place just after 7 p.m., involved two cars, with one of them rolling over. Drivers of both vehicles were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where one died. Additional information was not available.
Witnesses told the Miami Herald that traffic was at a standstill on I-95, which was still blocked at 9 p.m., but that traffic was being diverted to local streets in and around the interstate.
