An armed man went old school Wednesday in robbing a PNC Bank branch in Tamarac.
Instead of the standard note or verbal demand for cash from a teller or even just hinting at a firearm, this robber walked into the bank at 6899 University Dr. holding his gun out at the end of his extended arm.
He got his cash and departed.
His clothing, which included a mask and a hoodie, was similar to the outfit worn by a robber who hit the SunTrust branch at 6260 Powerline Rd. in Fort Lauderdale on May 30. Each robbery occurred around lunchtime — Wednesday’s at 12:30 p.m. and the May 30 robbery at 11:37 a.m.
