A man walking to his car from a West Park nightclub early Sunday morning was shot and killed, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Jeff Reveille, 33, left The Polo Club, 5590 Hallandale Beach Blvd., at about 7 a.m., just as the doors closed.

According to BSO, the club patrons were making their way through the parking lot “when an unidentified individual fired a weapon at Reveille and fatally wounded him.”

Reveille was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he died.

“Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit investigators are speaking with individuals present at the club during the shooting, reviewing security video and collecting physical evidence from the scene,” BSO said in a news release. “It is unclear what prompted the shooting or if the victim and shooter knew each other before the incident.”

Reveille’s mother, Marie Reveille, showed up at the club early Sunday after hearing about the shooting, according to the Sun Sentinel.

“I lost Jeff,” she told the paper. “I’ll never see Jeff no more.”
