Award-winning photojournalists teach in Little Haiti

The Iris PhotoCollective Visual Lab is offering photography classes with two award-winning photographers starting March 19th in Little Haiti.

Miami Herald Staff photographers Carl Juste and C.W. Griffin have decades of experience that include covering Hati after the Jan. 12 earthquake, and a follow up to the tragic shooting that killed a little girl named Sherdavia Jenkins, while she was playing in front of her Liberty City home.

Juste and Griffin plan on exploring the works of photography masters Henri Cartier-Bresson, Roy DeCarava, W. Eugene Smith, and Margaret Bourke-White among others.

The weekly classes -- held in partnership with the Iris Foundation and The Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance -- will be held on Saturday until May 28th at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212 N.E. 59th Terrace.
