Thunderstorms that marred the weekend will likely continue into the beginning of the week.
Forecasters call for a 50 percent chance of storms Monday and Tuesday in the Miami area, with highs in the mid-80s. A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for South Florida as a result of possible frequent lightning, flooding and wind gusts of up to 55 mph.
The skies will start to clear up slightly Wednesday, with a 30 percent chance of storms through the rest of the week. Temperatures will also rise to the high-80s during the day, while staying in the low-80s in the evenings.
For those looking forward to the weekend, Saturday will have only a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, though the likelihood increases to 30 percent again Sunday.
