Wednesday marked the first official day of summer, and with summer brings nostalgia. There’s something special about the late sunsets, smell of bug spray and taste of popsicles that bring us back to those carefree summer camp days.

Maybe your experience was akin to Wet Hot American Summer, or perhaps you opted for family camp, à la Dirty Dancing. Either way, the Miami Herald wants to hear about your favorite summer camp adventures.

Did you try a new sport? Did you meet the love of your life (or at least have your first kiss)? Did a bug encounter scare you into the AC for life?

We'll highlight our favorites in a story.
