Nova Southeastern University will host a panel discussion on the value of an MBA in today’s business climate. Topics include: the right time to pursue an MBA, the value of an MBA in economic down times, employer perception of an MBA degree, the return on investment of an an MBA, and the the value of a specialized MBA degree.
“This is an excellent opportunity for students and business people to assess and get a handle on how an MBA degree can increase job opportunities and enhance careers,” said J. Preston Jones, D.B.A. dean of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. “Organizations are looking for expertise in areas from management and finance to international trade and healthcare.”
Attendees will hear expert opinions and insights from corporate executives, faculty members, alumni, and current students. The panelists will include: Rob Arce, MBA, Area Manager, AT&T Florida; Christopher Cabezas, MBA Student, Industrial Engineer, American Express; Bay O’Leary, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Marketing, Huizenga Business School; John Riggs, D.B.A., Assistant Professor of Marketing, Huizenga Business School.
The event, which is free, will be Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m. in Room 3000 of the Nova Southeastern University (NSU) H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Carl DeSantis Building, 3301 College Avenue in Davie.
