TheVentureCity, a global tech ecosystem accelerator announced during eMerge Americas, on Tuesday announced a partnership with Facebook to launch Developer Circles in Miami, a program designed to create locally organized communities for developers.
The Developers Circles from Facebook will organize monthly engineer gatherings that provide a forum for education, discussion and knowledge-sharing, often with guest speakers, around top-of mind topics, including defining success metrics, TheVentureCity said.
Victor Servin, CTO at TheVentureCity, will serve as a lead of Developer Circles Miami, with founder and CEO Laura González-Estéfani, serving as an advisor. Wyncode Academy will be the other Circle Lead.

Facebook will also be among the industry leaders invited to speak at People over Pixels Community Events hosted by TheVentureCity. Key players of the local ecosystem including Facebook will participate in the Miami Think Tank, an initiative led by TheVentureCity to bring together community, industry and startup leaders aimed at promoting the evolution of technology within the community.
“Establishing this ongoing partnership with Facebook to further educate and empower the tech community on both the local and international levels marks a milestone for this community,” said González-Estéfani. “Through the power of collaboration, we hope to successfully accelerate tech adoption at every layer of society and, as a result, create an ecosystem that fosters sustainable growth for entrepreneurs.”
