Senior-level hires and promotions for the week of Aug. 22, 2016



At Professional Service Industries, now part of London-based Intertek:

Anthony Caggiano Jr. has been hired as construction services manager in the company’s Miami office. Previously he was director of operations at GSE Engineering & Consulting in Gainesville. Caggiano has a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Clemson.

Bryan Lucas was promoted to environmental manager and will be based in the Miami office. He was previously project manager in Intertek-PSI’s Charlotte office. He has a bachelor’s in geology from the University of Akron.

Camilo Monroy has been named as special project manager of the Fort Lauderdale Airport Special Project and the Turnpike C9K32 Special Project. He will be based in the the company’s Fort Lauderdale office. He previously was construction services manager for the company and was based in Miami. Monroy has a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Miami and a master’s in construction management from Florida International University.


At MSC Cruises:

Roberto Fusaro has been promoted to president of the newly named MSC Cruises North America and will be based in Fort Lauderdale. He previously led MSC’s operation in South America. Fusaro has an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Rick Sasso, currently CEO of MSC Cruises USA, has been named chairman of MSC Cruises North America. He has headed the MSC office in Fort Lauderdale since 2004.


Raymond Stewart has been named chief technology officer at Ransom Everglades School. He previously was at Sunera Technologies in the Washington, D.C., area, and before that, was director of information technology at The Park School in Massachusetts. Stewart has a bachelor’s in sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s in education from San Francisco State University.


Neil Bierwagen has been named general manager at W Miami, in the Brickell neighborhood. He previously was at W New York-Times Square. Bierwagen, a chartered professional accountant of Canada, has a bachelor’s in commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Cindi George has been named marketing and sales manager at Shooters Waterfront and Events by Grateful Palate in Fort Lauderdale. She previously was the account sales manager of Windridge Yacht Charters.


Jason M. Vanslette has been promoted to partner at Kelley Kronenberg, based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. He focuses his practice on mortgage foreclosure litigation and also assists condominium and homeowners’ associations. Vanslette has a bachelor’s from Florida State University and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University.


Rick Drew has been named market leader for the Miami-Dade office of Renters Warehouse, headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was previously marketing and sales director at East Ridge at Cutler Bay.

Mover’s spotlight

Name: Joel Glick

New position: Director in the forensic and business valuation practice at Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors and Accountants.

From: Associate director of forensic and business valuation services.

What he does: Glick focuses his practice on business consulting and commercial litigation support in bankruptcy, restructuring and damage claims. He helps attorneys make their case for clients in a wide range of industries, including construction, real estate, and private equity and investment firms.

Also: Since joining the firm in 1997 he has helped build the Forensic and Business Valuation practice. His business advisory practice includes usury law, due diligence and financial forecasts. Glick has been an expert witness for matters relating to joint ventures, partnership dissolutions and fraud; he represented the trustee in the Rothstein bankruptcy/Ponzi scheme as his financial adviser and forensic accountant. He considers his best personal achievement to be “raising two strong independent women.”

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida. He is also a certified public accountant, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also certified in financial forensics and, as a certified fraud examiner, is affiliated with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
