Christina Warner has been named director of sales at Gary Nader Art Centre and will be based in Miami. She specializes in modern and contemporary art with a concentration in Latin American art. She previously was a senior specialist in modern, contemporary and Latin American art at Artnet Auctions. Warner has a bachelor’s in art history and Spanish literature from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania.

Nhayiry D. Rionda has been named vice president and sales director III for the Doral market of TotalBank. She most recently was at Banesco USA. Rionda has a bachelor’s in business management from Florida International University.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

Jeremy Bailey has been promoted to senior wealth manager from wealth management associate at Meg Green & Associates. Bailey, a certified private wealth advisor, has a bachelor’s in business management, finance and accounting from Hiram College in Ohio.

HEALTHCARE

Thelma Cela has been named director of clinical operations at OrthoNOW Orthopedic Urgent Care. She previously was director at Leon Healthy Living Centers. Cela has a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Miami.

HOSPITALITY

Lori Kendall has been named director of sales and marketing at YVE Hotel Miami, a Destination Hotel. She previously was director of sales at The Thompson Miami Beach. Kendall has a bachelor’s in literature from the Sorbonne in Paris.

HUMAN RESOURCES

Steve Scott has joined the executive team of Engage PEO as chief operating officer. The Fort Lauderdale-based company provides HR outsourcing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses. Scott was previously senior vice president, operations, at CoAdvantage. He has a bachelor’s in finance from Florida State University.

LAW

David T. Podein has been promoted to partner from senior associate attorney at the Miami-based law firm of Haber Slade P.A. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from University of Miami.

Hal J. Webb has joined Bilzin Sumberg as a partner in the Tax & Estate Planning Group and will head the International Private Client Services. He previously was a partner at Cantor & Webb P.A. Webb has a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Miami, a J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School, and an LL.M., taxation, from the University of Florida.

REAL ESTATE

Martin Elortegui has been named director of business development at The Elmir Group, a sales team within Cervera Real Estate. He was previously director of development with Stripey Development; he is still working with them as the project manager for the 26 Edgewater Condominium, currently under construction. Elortegui has a bachelor’s in marketing from Universidad De Belgrano in Argentina.

Gigi Ganatra Duff has been named chief marketing officer at Lionheart Capital, a Miami-based global real estate development and capital investment firm. She most recently was vice president of HSNi. Ganatra Duff received a bachelor’s in international business and Spanish from Albion College.

Monte Greenberg has been named director for Macken Companies in South Florida. Previously, he was assistant vice president and asset manager for ABN AMRO North America bank. Greenberg received a master’s in real estate development from Columbia University.

SECURITY

Regan Marock has recently been named chief executive officer of SPC Cyber Security and works out of an office in Aventura. He was formerly an executive director and equity partner at KW Property Management & Consulting in Miami. Marock has a business degree from the University of Florida.

Name: Dr. Sylvan Waller

New position: Senior vice president and chief medical officer of MDLIVE Inc. in Sunrise. The company focuses on digital healthcare delivery. He will oversee all areas of the company’s medical operations, service offerings, including physician recruitment, training, certification and on-boarding; all aspects of patient care; and future medical service strategy, quality and implementation.

From: CEO of Alii Healthcare, a telehealth company he founded that connects patients with ER doctors.

Also: He has been chief medical officer, East Division with Schumacher Clinical Partners; vice president, clinical operations at ApolloMD; and management consultant for Kaiser Permanente and Accenture.

Education: Has a bachelor’s in biology from Brown and a medical degree from Boston University; completed his residency at Emory.

Best advice ever received: From the very early stages of my career, the best advice I received was learning the importance of listening to my patients’ concerns and placing them first.
