Erlyn Luciano has been named principal at BC Architects in Coral Gables. Previously he was an associate at the firm, and before that, he was a partner at Batista Luciano in Miami. He has a degree in architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic.
Luis A. Castro has been named vice president and branch sales leader at BankUnited, responsible for managing the bank’s branch activities, deposit and loan growth in Miami Beach and Wynwood. He comes from IDB Bank in Aventura, where he was senior vice president and senior private banker. Castro has a bachelor’s in business administration from Barry University.
Charlie Ramon Suarez has been named regional manager for Florida at American Bancshares Mortgage, a privately held residential mortgage lender based in South Florida. Previously he was senior vice president for Equity Mortgage Bankers.
Steve Matlaga has been named chief operating officer of Williams Island. He was previously CEO of Greensboro Country Club in North Carolina. Matlaga has a degree in business administration and management from the University of Central Florida.
Kyle Fisher has been named vice president for public relations and marketing communications at Nova Southeastern University, effective July 11. She currently is vice president for public relations/marketing and alumni relations at Robert Morris University in Pennsylvania. Fisher has a bachelor’s in creative and professional writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
Atton Brickell Miami has named two executives who will help lead the hotel’s operations and sales divisions when it opens this spring:
▪ Claudia Di Gino has been named general manager. She previously was general manager of Villa Bagatelle in Miami Beach. Di Gino has a bachelor’s in hospitality management from Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico
▪ Tatyana Li has been named director of sales and marketing. She previously was sales director at Villa Bagatelle. Li has a bachelor’s in languages, received in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Eric Kalis has been promoted to account director at BoardroomPR. He previously was senior account executive. Kalis, a former journalist, has a bachelor’s from the Univeristy of Miami in communications.
Cary Cohen has joined Blanca Commercial Real Estate as executive vice president. Previously, he led the Florida operations for the asset solutions group of Flagler Real Estate Services. Cohen has a bachelor’s in government/international relations from Clark University.
David Gott has been named general manager of Sawgrass Mills. He previously was general manager of Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois. Gott has a bachelor’s in economics from Northern Illinois University.
Rick Von Pusch has been named the first chief revenue officer of Modernizing Medicine. He will head all revenue-related activities overseeing the sales, marketing and business development teams. Previously, he was senior vice president of sales, marketing and operations for Dealertrack, a software-as-a-service provider for the automotive and lending industries. Before that, he was vice president of U.S. retail sales for Reynolds and Reynolds, a software solution provider. Von Pusch has a bachelor’s in management information systems from the University of South Florida.

New position: He joins Sprint as president of the Florida, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands region. Based in Miami, he will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer in Florida.
Previously: He was chief operating officer for Caribe and Central America for Digicel Group.
Also: Before that, he had been with NII Holdings, Inc. in positions that included chief operating officer of Nextel Brasil and chief executive officer of Nextel Chile. Hidalgo was responsible for leading the company’s operations, providing strategic guidance and identifying and capturing growth opportunities.
Education: A degree in engineering, with a concentration on finance and business administration, from the Universidad Gabriela Mistral, Santiago, Chile. Post-graduate education at INSEAD (France) and IESE (Barcelona) business schools.
