Patricia Lubian has joined BankUnited as a commercial real estate relationship manager. Most recently she was senior vice president of commercial real estate for Regions Bank in Miami. Lubian has a bachelor’s in economics and management from Barry University.
Jeff Easley has been hired as vice president for the Miami office of Hanson Professional Services. Easley has bachelor’s degrees in engineering and management from the University of Arkansas and University of Central Arkansas, respectively, and an MBA from the University of Miami.
Catherine Cumings was recently named director of sales and marketing of Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, part of Noble House Hotels & Resorts. She most recently was a hospitality consultant. Cumings has a bachelor’s in business administration and management from St. Petersburg College.
Caroline Wilmot has been named spa and wellness director for the ocean spa at Playa Largo Resort & Spa in Key Largo, which is part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection. The spa is to open in winter 2016. Her past positions include director of membership and operations for The Spa at Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago.
Ned Trigg has been named executive vice president of the marine division of Dometic Group, based in Pompano Beach. He will lead the marine OEM and aftermarket divisions for the Americas region. This includes sales, application engineering, customer service, manufacturing operations and new product development strategies. He previously was senior vice president of Global Systems Sales, marine division.
Alvarez & Marsal has named Alvaro Araujo its Miami-based managing director and Sergio Aguilar as senior director based in Miami. Araujo, a CPA, was previously an auditor and member of Ernst & Young’s transaction advisory services group in New York and Miami. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova and a master’s in accountancy from the University of Dame. Aguilar, also a CPA, was previously a senior manager in Ernst & Young’s transaction advisory services based in Philadelphia and Colombia. He has a bachelor’s in accounting and finance from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico.
