Mover’s spotlight

Name: Eduardo Egea

New position: Healthcare principal for Stantec’s Miami office.

From: Miami market leader at NBBJ.

Also: He has been a healthcare practice leader at HKS; he opened the firm’s Miami and São Paulo, Brazil, offices.

Education: Bachelor’s in design, and a master’s of architecture in health facility design and planning, from Clemson University.

Best advice he ever received: Your role when addressing complex issues within an often complex organizational setting is to look beyond the “distractors” and solve the right problem. Applying a facility solution to an operational model in need of improvement may lead you in the wrong (and very expensive) direction.
