Ken Gould has been named the new director of community operations for East Ridge at Cutler Bay. Previously, he was director of environmental services and spearheaded the community’s efforts in green practices starting with single stream recycling. He has a bachelor’s degree in applied science management and supervision from Miami Dade College and an associate’s degree in health services administration.


Jesus “Hess” Ruidiaz to has been named assistant vice president and residential lending loan originator, joining the residential lending sales team, at TotalBank. He was most recently a vice president, relationship manager and loan originator for TD Wealth Private Client Group.

Joseph Stanganelli has been named national sales leader for BankUnited’s residential mortgage division and will be based in Miami Lakes. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts.


Anthony Thigpen has been named senior career counselor and military transition specialist at the Fort Lauderdale-based campus of Maritime Professional Training. Thigpen, who has extensive military and merchant-marine experience, was most recently was customer service and fleet training specialist for Hornbeck Offshore based in Louisiana.


Alex Caceres recently joined the AC Hotel Miami Beach team as general manager. The hotel is scheduled to open April 13.

Debra Saccavino has been named general manager at the SAWGRASS GRAND Hotel & Suites in Sunrise. Previously she was the general manager at the Renaissance Hotel in Boca Raton.


Sean F. Thompson has been promoted to partner at Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock Liberman in Fort Lauderdale. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice, among other areas. He has a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University.

Hunton & Williams LLP announces that partners Walter J. Andrews, of the firm’s McLean office, and Michael J. Mueller, of the firm’s Washington office, are moving its Miami office. Andrews heads the firm’s insurance litigation and recovery practice. Mueller is co-head of the retail and consumer products litigation practice group.


HistoryMiami, a Smithsonian Affiliate and nationally accredited history museum in Miami, has named Stuart A. Chase as the institution’s new president/CEO and Jorge Zamanillo as museum director after the departure of Ramiro Ortiz, the museum’s former President/CEO. Chase previously was executive director of the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He has a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Zamanillo was previously deputy director at the museum. He has a BA in anthropology from Florida State University and an MA in museum studies.


Conrad Lee has rejoined the global executive search firm DHR International as executive vice president and will be in the firm’s Miami office.

Name: Adam “AJ” Mueller

New position: Mueller was been named partner at Amicon Construction. He serves as the company’s vice president of construction.

Previous job: He was senior project manager. Before joining the company in 20013, he worked at Lockheed Martin.

Also: His key construction projects include The Mark Downtown in Delray Beach; Facebook; FedEx Latin American Headquarters; and law offices Jones Day and Gunster.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Florida.

Best advice he ever received: There are those who talk the loudest about how great they are and how everyone needs to know it. Then there are those who work hard, stay focused, and don’t need to shout it to the world … as their value is inevitably recognized.
